I made this suit for Amanda for Xmas this past year.  I was going for the nipped-in, '40's look, and I guess I succeeded, because she told me it looks like something Lauren Bacall would wear. 

 

It's made from pinky-nude dupioni, actually left over from the pink dress pictured elsewhere on the site.  I made the dress with the shiny (wrong) side of the fabric out, and the suit with the nubby (right) side out.

 

I didn't realize until I looked at this photo that she didn't iron the suit before she wore it to the airport. Sigh.
